Hey for the first time I have a head canon!
The Once-ler loves marshmallows so much because when he was little and cried his dad gave him a marshmallow to keep him calm, sadly he doesn’t remember it, he only know marshmallows make people happy, that’s why he gave one to the Lorax, too when he was grumpy.
